Eligibility

To become a delegate in the pageant, you must meet all of these criteria:

• be between 21 and 60 years of age
• use a wheelchair/scooter for 100% of your daily community mobility
• be a resident of Pennsylvania for at least 6 months
• marital status is not a consideration

Judging

Contestants will be judged in the following categories:

• Accomplishments - accomplishments since the onset of disability.
• Communication Skills - includes ability to communicate with the media, public relations and public speaking skills, and advocacy for the disability community.
• Self-Perception - includes poise, demeanor, self confidence, appropriate attire & personal presentation.*

  *Ms. Wheelchair Pennsylvania is not a beauty pageant and the items in this category do not mean that the most attractive contestant will be chosen as the winner.  They simply aim to judge the contestant's ability to put forth a demeanor that will be pleasing to an audience.

Contestants will also be judged on their performance in:

• Personal Interviews
• Platform Speech Presentations
• On-stage interviews
